My final song choice is the same song that inspired me to make this video and I have consistently referred to throughout my planning:

Do their videos have any common themes?
All their videos are very unique, they all have abstract ideas in them and are quite quirky. The common theme is that they are so creative and a tad strange, as well as the fact the majority involve a lot of lip syncing and performance, whether that is integrated into the narrative or not. However, other than at least one member of the bands presence there is no other obvious links throughout the videos, they are all very different ideas, from fighting superhero to running away from an overpowering producer to being in downtown victorian England. Therefore I think the video I am planning on making will fit the bands style as it is very unique for a music video and individual, and involves performance so therefore should fit the criteria the band appears to have for their musics videos.

Research into existing student made video ( post 3 )

If  had a gun - A2 media studies music video (A Grade): Creativity  I feel this particular student made music video is very creative in the way they have used many different camera shots and angles. for example they have used an ordinary wide shot but rewinded making it look like a times lapse. moreover, they have also used close up, pan shot, wide shot, and extreme close up.   setting/location The setting of the music video seems to start in a town or a city (possibly a quite part of the town/city as we are only exposed to a busy road with not a lot of buildings or shops). however, this then changes about 37 seconds in when we see an extreme close up of a pair of shoes on sand which we assume to be a beach. Then, the location changes again about a minute and half in to the music video when we see the character in a cemetery. then for the rest of the music video we are also exposed to a car park and another street within a city or a town.  costume/props (suppo
