After finishing my planning, there is no changes/alterations that I have made since my first costume and make up ideas, which you can see here. I will be basing my work on that.
POST 6: PRACTICE TASK - KEY MUSIC VIDEOS TIMELINE This research is to discover the key turning points in music videos in the last century leading up until now. Before we started, the only inclination we had was that Michael Jackson's Thriller music video was important and was a major turning point with creating a storyline with the music video so it was interesting for all of us to see where it originally came from and who influenced the creation of music videos all of the world. Our online presentation for the Key Music Video Timeline can be found: HERE. LR
My final song choice is the same song that inspired me to make this video and I have consistently referred to throughout my planning: Cops and Robbers By the Hoosiers. Here are some of their other music and videos: Goodbye Mr A: Choices: Up to no Good: Do their videos have any common themes? All their videos are very unique, they all have abstract ideas in them and are quite quirky. The common theme is that they are so creative and a tad strange, as well as the fact the majority involve a lot of lip syncing and performance, whether that is integrated into the narrative or not. However, other than at least one member of the bands presence there is no other obvious links throughout the videos, they are all very different ideas, from fighting superhero to running away from an overpowering producer to being in downtown victorian England. Therefore I think the video I am planning on making will fit the bands style as it is very unique for a music video...
To gain feedback of my final cut I asked people to watch my video and look at my ancillary tasks and tell me what they thought was positive about it and where ,if I was to complete the task again, I could improve. I created a video : Here are also some screenshots of messages people sent me as a response as well:
