Evaluation Question 3 ( Post 55 )

What have you learned from your audience feedback? Here is my plan : Here is my audience feedback video: Above are the screenshots of messages I also collected as feedback. What have I learnt from my audience feedback? To gain feedback I wanted to specifically talk to people who were part of my target audience demographic, which was younger people, but I also spoke to few people from an older generation to make sure it was inclusive. I did this by showing people and asking them directly to form a discussion or interview; but I also used social media. Positive feedback: After acting on some of the initial feedback from my rough cut I tried to tweak my video to act on this critic, which mainly suggested that exposure needed to be worked on and some of the lip syncing and band elements as well. This seemed to work as in the feedback for my final video there was no criticism on the exposure in the shots and even though some people said that the lip sy

How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts? Here is my plan : I planned to cut to pictures of my ancillary tasks within the footage of this video, but unfortunately technology let me down and would not allow the export of this form of the video, so included below are pictures of my ancillary tasks so you can see what I am referring to: Here is the interview me and my friend conducted as answer to this question:   Furthermore, I also tested my opinion on my ancillary tasks linking by showing people different people ancillary tasks and videos from my fellow peers, and then making them guess which ancillary task goes with which video, Out of an audience of 20, 20 out of 20 linked my ancillary tasks to my video, demonstrating how I managed to portray continuity within advertising my products.

Construction : Rough cut 2 : Colourisation and Filters

Here is my second attempt at a rough cut, as I am acting on the feedback I got from different people for my first try, and I used premiere pro video effects on brightness and contrast to effect the over or under exposure at different points in the video. I then used after effects to apply a black and white filter on the chase scenes to try and create that silent film effect that helped inspire the video. I think overall this really helps the overall smoothness and character of the video as all the shots look much more similar now helping it to flow better and add a sense of professionalism. It also adds more diversity to the video, defining the performance and chase elements even further. I had never used after effects before so that was also a good learning experience in helping me develop and expand my editing skills, which is one of my targets for this project. Here is the second rough cut:

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? To plan my evaluation questions I did a spider diagram : Here is a video of my directors commentary as an answer to this question: I also wanted to discuss how I would change the way I used, developed or challenged the conventions of music videos in my own work and evaluate how well I thought I had done:

Feedback on Rough Cut ( Post 50 )

I sent the link of my rough cut to some of my peers to get feedback on how to improve. Here are screenshots of what they said: The feedback was generally positive, people seemed to enjoy the concept and thought it worked well. However, when going back to my video the exposure needs to be worked on, as I expected, and people seemed to think some of the performance elements were out of time so I need to revisit a few clips to rectify that.
